Indian-style coleslaw is a flavorful and easy-to-make salad that is a great addition to any meal. Here's a basic recipe to prepare Indian-style coleslaw:
Ingredients:
- 1 medium head of green cabbage, finely shredded
- 2 medium carrots, grated
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish
Directions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and grated carrots.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the yogurt, mayonnaise, lemon juice, cumin powder, chaat masala, red chili powder, and salt.
